The video of the salesman who was identified as Reynaldo C. Orcullo from Brgy. Triangulo, Nasipit town, Agusan del Norte went viral online after telling defamatory statements against President Rodrigo Duterte. In the said video, Orcullo called the President 'stup1d' and 'crazy' for believing and following every scripted request made by Senator Bong Go.
Orcullo said,
"We know the pattern. Go will try to make a scripted request to crazy Digong. Digong is stup1d. Digong is crazy."
The authorities then quickly arrested Orcullo and the salesman will face a violation case Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Caraga regional police chief Brig. Ge. Joselito Esquivel Jr. reminded the public to be careful and think first before posting anything online because freedom speech also has a limitation.
Esquivel told,
"I remind our social media users to think thrice before posting on any social media platform. Be responsible netizens. We do enjoy the blessings of democracy but never go beyond what you think is right without minding you violate the provisions of the law."
Several days ago, the authorities already arrested three people because of threatening the life of the President. The first one was the teacher who offers around Php50M to anyone who will k1ll the President.
The teacher already asked for forgiveness for what he has done, saying that he didn't intend to say such things because he only wanted to catch the attention of many netizens.
The second one was the man from Aklan who will give Php100M as a reward to k1ll President Duterte.
The last one was the woman who offered Php75M to the people who will k1ll the President.
The three of them will face a charge of sed1tion and cybercr1me.
Presidential Security Group (PSG) also warned the public to stop thr3atening the life of the President.
PSG chief Col. Jesus Durante III stated,
"I would like to convey to the people not to be involved in any way of threatening the president or anybody specially with the use of the social media.
