Senator Francis Pangilinan encouraged the netizens to oppose and speak up over the current situation happening in the country during the speech of President Rodrigo Duterte on his fifth State of the Nation Adress (SONA) on Monday.
Pangilinan said,
"May paraan na tutulan ang mga nangyayari, hindi tayo dapat magwawalang kibo, hindi tayo dapat manunuod lamang... Makialam tayo. Kahit online. Ilabas natin yung ating mga kaldero. Pukpukin natin tapos i-video natin. Yung mga millennial, i-upload natin sa social media yung ating pagtutol, ang ating pagkakalampag."
In a separate statement, the Senator said the main focus of President Duterte on his SONA is all about sl4ught3r. Instead of making a concrete plan on how to fight the pand3m1c, the President still prioritizes the issue over the closure of the Kapamilya network and the d3ath p3nalty.

Kiko said,
"C0VID, gutom at walang trabaho ng milyun-milyon ang matinding problema, d3ath p3nalty and isinusulong. Walang ibang hangarin kundi pum4tay. Yan ang State of the Nation."
It can be recalled that one of the topics President Duterte discusses on his SONA is the d3ath p3nalty to the people who are involved in ill3gal dru6s.

President Duterte said,
"I reiterate the swift passage of a law reviving the d3ath penalty by lethal injection for cr!mes specified under the Comprehensive Dangerous [Dru6s] Act of 2022. I did not hear so much clapping so I presume that they are not interested. Walang kang Someday I'll tell you the story what happened to the Philippines.
"Hindi ngayon. But when I'm. sasabihin ko sa inyo ang totoo kung bakit nagkaganito yung dr0ga ng Pilipinas. Why the dru6 synd!cates continue to operate just like the countries of Colombia, Mexico, and it is being played inside the national penitentiaries."
