Sen. Leila de Lima was present on slamming President Rodrigo Duterte for his speech during the fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, saying that Filipinos only gets a slu6gish and useless government to the Duterte administration.
She said,
“Tapang at malasakit ang inasahan ng ating mga kababayan nang inihalal nila si G. Duterte. Sa halip, tamad at inut1l ang gobyernong ating nakuha.”
The Senator said that Duterte's claim that China is "in possession" of the disputed territory is wrong and that it has serious implications for the law especially since the country won the case but we are now the ones withdrawing.

The Senator mentioned the locally stranded individuals that seem to be neglected by the government. She also addresses how the government is just waiting for medicine from China even though many developed countries are close to making the vaccine against the C0VID-19.

De Lima said the President seems to be letting his people and China rule the country. She further went on that d3ath pen4lty is not helpful since it is very difficult for the administration to conv!ct real cr!min@ls. Duterte also allegedly used the police and army to oppress Filipinos who just wanted to work, seeking justice, and wanting a good government.

She said,
“Malakas ang Pilipinas, kaya nating bumangon. Subalit kung hindi na kaya ng Pangulo na gampanan ang kaniyang tungkulin at ipaglaban ang ating bansa, isang napakabigat na kasalanan sa ating bayan kapag hindi pa siya magbitiw.”
