Many netizens couldn't help but wonder upon seeing the photo of Derrick Monasterio with a gay, asking if the actor is really in a relationship with a man he was in the photo.
To recall, Derrick said in one of his interviews that he is too straight to try an s3x'ual experience with a gay person.
The actor, along with other G! LU casts, was constrained to a blind item where one of the cast allegedly invited another cast member for an "adventure". But Derrick strongly denied this and laughingly answered that it didn't happen.
Derrick strongly denied the issue, saying that he is too straight to even think about it.
He said,
“Wala. Kasi straight talaga ako, e.”
He added,
“Akala ko dati may chance kasi galing ako sa all-boys school, maraming gay dun. Yung mga kaibigan ko dun na dating straight, nagiging gay, e, dahil dun nag-aaral. Pero, wala talaga.”
When asked if he received many offers, the Kapuso star confirmed that there was a lot in their school. Derrick admitted several has been offering him money in exchange for that, but he didn't accept it.
He also revealed that some of his friends already tried it, but as for himself, he doesn't and doesn't want to try.
The actor also said he doesn't have any problem with his gay fans admiring his body. He said that he already considered his gay fans as his fangirls.
“Girls din ang turing ko sa kanila. So, parang girls, critics na babae na hinahangaan ang lalaki.”

In the Instagram account of Oscar, he often uploading several sweet photos of him with Derrick.
One of his posts seems to be a birthday greetings for Derrick.
