Isang Architect, Viral Ngayon Sa Social Media Dahil Sa Disenyo Nito Na Modernong "Bahay Kubo"

A young and talented architect from Tagbilaran, Bohol has designed a modern "Bahay Kubo" that is both sustainable and stylish.

Nowadays, it is difficult to find a comfortable place with a spacious area, especially in Metro Manila. If there's one, for sure it is expensive.

So the talented architect named Zeus Zamora decided to make his own eco-friendly modern "Bahay Kubo" design. It has a simple design yet it is very stylish and beautiful.

His design also features indigenous Filipino materials like Sawali. But it has a touch of traditional design with eco-friendly technology like a rainwater collector and solar panels.

In this way, this Bahay Kubo can still hold its natural air cushioning qualities fused with modern-day sustainable living.

Zeus wrote on his Facebook post,

“I’m also into Tiny House living that’s why I came up with this design concept and hopefully save up so I could build it as my own. I’m still in the works of studying which materials would best fit it in actual construction, what you see in the pictures are just my architectural renderings.”

Zeus also provided the details about how much it cost to build the stylish Bahay Kubo as many people are asking him about the cost of his project.

He said,

“Bare Building: P18k to P20k per square meter.

“Building with Cabinetry: P25k to P30k per square meter.

“To compute the cost you just multiply the cost per square meter to the area of the building which is around 35 square meters.

Example: 35×25000=project cost.”

However, Zeus clarified that the prices may still change until he was don on the estimates and the final details.

He said,

“Note that these prices may vary from place to place here in the Philippines, and it does not include the professional fees, building permit fees, etc.”
