Willie Revillame slams Rappler and their journalist Pia Ranada for their headline about his appearance on the press briefing with Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
During his "Tutok to Win" episode, Revillame denied that he "h1jacks" the press briefing happened on August 7 contrary to the article released by the media company and the said journalist.
The said article reads:
"Willie Revillame h1jacks Roque press briefing to promote charity, GMA7 show."

The screenshot of the article was shown during the show. The TV host then clarified that Roque was the one who contacted him, asking his help to find a studio where they could hold a press briefing as the RTVM building was not available because of its ongoing disinfection.
Willie said that he does his best to fix one of his studios in WilTower so Roque can use it comfortably.
He said,
“Ginawan ko po ng paraan ‘yan, ako po ang nag ayos niyan at dito early morning para po may magamit po si Secretary Harry Roque.”
The "Wowowin" host said that Roque invites him to appear in the press briefing however, he called it inappropriate because he has his own show and he is also not a politician.

But Willie eventually agreed to the request of Roque to appear in their last press briefing last Friday.
Willie said,
“Alam niyo ho, yung pagbibigay ko ng 5 million galing po ‘iyon sa sarili ko, pinagsikapan ko pinaghirapan ko, ‘yun po ay galing sa akin at hindi po alam ni Secretary Harry Roque at Governor Jonvic Remulla at ng buong taga Malacanang na nandito, wala.. naisip ko lang po ‘yun.”
The TV host also expressed his sadness and dejection as some netizens are crit1cizing him because they think that he only wanted to promote and boast himself by giving money to people in need.

He stated,
“Eh para pa hong napasama pa ako sa iba na parang nagbuhat ako ng bangko, parang nagyabang pa ako, hindi ko po maintindihan kung bakit may mga ganyan klaseng tao.”
Willie further explained that he decided to give the Php5-M cash donations that will be given to the jeepney drivers who are greatly affected by the pand3mic to the government because it is impossible for him to personally distribute the money to the jeepney drivers because of the current state of the Philippines and the law.
After his explanation, he then addresses the report of Ranada again.

Willie said,
“Ang alam ko, ang h1jack may hino-h0stag3 ka, may dala kang arm4s. Ang ibig kong sabihin, hindi maganda ang pagkakasulat. Ang sabi hi-n1jack ko ‘raw ang programang iyon. I was invited by the secretary, pinagbigyan ako ng pagkakataon dahil dito ho sila, actually kung hindi po sila pwede sa Malacanang studio ay welcome sila dito, para alam po ng tao ng announcement at sasabihin ng Presidente.”
Willie then announced that he is willing to give another Php5-M next month to give help to people in need.
Meanwhile, Ranada took to her Twitter account to respond to the crit1cism of Revillame against her, explaining that there were different meanings of 'hijack'.

The journalist said,
“Hi Willie Revillame! Ito po ang ilang mga ibang depinisyon ng ‘h1jack’ kung sakaling inaakusahan mo ako ng fake news dahil ang intindi mo sa ‘h1jack’ ay pagn4kaw ng sasakyan.”
