In celebration of his birthday, former Hashtags member Bugoy Cariño proudly shared a photo of his son with volleyball star player EJ Laure.
This is the very first time that Bugoy publicized about him having a child.
It can be recalled that way back in 2018, there was news circulating on social media about the alleged pregnancy of EJ. Along with the release of rumors, the volleyball star player temporarily stopped playing volleyball due to her injury.
Meanwhile, Bugoy was removed from the ABS-CBN's noontime show, "It's Showtime" as part of the all-male group Hashtags. In an interview before, Bugoy first denied the issue circulating online about the pregnancy of EJ. The popular volleyball player, on the other hand, also denied the issue through a statement on her social media account.
Bugoy said the reason for his disappearance from the noontime show was because he was busy making movies.
In his birthday celebration on Thursday, September 3, Bugoy shared his gratitude for the blessing he received. He said he will do the best he could to support his family whom he loves dearly.
Bugoy wrote on his social media post:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
"Happy to have a family na mahal na mahal ako. Pagsisikapan ko pong itaguyod ang blessing na ito. Thank you for your unending support and I love you both, Mommy EJ and Baby Scarlet!!!"
In EJ's part, she posted a video compilation on her Instagram account where it can be seen their bonding as a family with their adorable daughter, Scarlet.
She wrote,
"Happy birthday, Mahal. Thank you sa lahat ng ginawa at ginagawa mo para sa amin ni baby @iamscarletcarino! We love you so much, daddy!"
Birthday greetings for Bugoy are poured in the comments section of the post. Many netizens were also surprised over the revelation made by Bugoy and EJ.
