Willie Revillame fulfilled his promise to give cash assistance to jeepney drivers who are greatly affected by the cr1sis brought by the pand3mic.
Recently, "Wowowin" host Willie Revillame has personally distributed the P5-M cash aids that he will give to the jeepney drivers whose livelihood was affected by the C0VID-19 cr1sis.
In a report from GMA News Online, the TV host reached out to Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to work with them and help him with the distribution of the donation.
It is also said that Willie personally went to the office and helped in the distribution of sacks of rice and cash aids for the jeepney drivers.
Upon hearing the news, the leaders of several transport groups quickly went to the office to get cash aids. The cash donations that will be given per group was ranging over P200,000 to P1.5-M.
The jeepney drivers who are not members of any transport groups also went to the LTRFB office to receive some financial aid.
Based on the Facebook post of LTRFB, Willie again made a promise to the jeepney drivers that he will donate another P5-M next month. It is also mentioned that the TV host was able to give donations for over 3,211 jeepney drivers.
It can be recalled that on August 7, 2020, Willie Revillame vowed to give P5-M donations for the jeepney drivers. To speed up the process, the team of Willie coordinated with LTRFB to announce the good news to the transport groups and associations to receive their financial aid.
